How to turn on basic mobile management?
If users have turned off mobile device management, they should turn it back on. Organizations must tell their employees that they will manage the mobile devices that are being used by them for work and also share the password requirements.
To begin with, in order to apply these settings on users, their accounts must be first put in an organizational unit. The following steps must be then followed:
- Admins must sign in to their Admin console
- They must sign in using an administrator account, and not their current email account
- From the Admin Console home page, they must go to Devices
- On the left, they must click on Mobile & endpoints, then go to Settings, and select Universal Settings
- Afterward, they should click on General, and proceed to Mobile Management
- In order to apply the setting to everyone, people must leave the top organizational unit selected. If not, they can select a child organizational unit
- The option Basic must be selected
- People must then click Save. If they have configured a child’s organizational unit, they can Inherit or Override a parent’s organizational unit’s settings.
